Fungal Fruits by artserge Fungal Fruits by artserge
Fungal fruits - A4 - ballpoint on paper

Thought i would do an Autumn inspired woodland scene.

Think to look out for:
an imp with a fungal hat, a robin, some hidden faces (4 or so), a toad

Hope you enjoy, and if you would like to colour please go ahead.

Some great flats for colouring by the talented SDL here:

I have entered this into unframed-nature groups, Autumn contest:

Hi Stormymay

I think this is great I love the warm pallette you used, the red sky is a brilliant idea.
I really love seeing what people can do with line art and how they make a black and white picture come alive.
I have added this to my collaborations folder and credited you with the colouring.

Thank you

Serge

So glad you liked it. I live in an area surrounded by deciduous forest, its like the colors were already there. Thought the sky added a bit of a Halloween atmosphere...

This scenery is quite beautiful, I totally agree that this is the type of image that would appear in fantasy novels and such~
You did an amazing job with a ballpoint pen :D How long did this take you?

Thanks, it's so encouraging to get great comments off fellow deviants as it seems so hard to break into the professional art scene.

Hi Psycho munkee, is this a high enough res picture for you to work with?

It is but it has the deviant art watermark on it (that might get in the way) I will message you my email and you can send me a copy without the watermark. is that okay with you?

Flats are now available for this piece [link] (feel free to include it in your description if you'd like)

I made the flats 5000 x 3525, because I wanted higher resolution to work with - so the lineart must be resized to fit (exact same aspect ratio). However, if anyone prefers to work with the lower resolution that matches the artwork as-is, that file can be downloaded from here [link] in my Sta.sh folder

Critiques more than welcome/hoped for. Otherwise, enjoy!

Even the textures feel fungus, like the details are growths that slowly spread over your paper.
